After graduating from The University of Virginia School of Law, Cordero began his legal career at a boutique civil law firm in El Paso, Texas. He then worked as an Assistant District Attorney, where he tried dozens of jury trials and developed a reputation as a skilled litigator.

Cordero now calls the Queen City home. He maintains law offices in Charlotte, North Carolina and El Paso, Texas.
